Q: How Much Will the Lead Paint Inspection Cost?

$495 Lead Paint Inspection for a home up to 3,000 square feet in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. For larger properties, contact us for pricing.

We use non-destructive testing methods, so no damage will occur. Typically, 125 to 200 different samples will be taken, depending on the number of rooms.

Q: Do You Test for Lead Hazards (Dust) for Free?

What good is a lead inspection if you don’t know if there are lead hazards? Lead dust causes lead poisoning. If lead paint is found inside, we’ll take a dust sample. If found outside, we’ll take a soil sample. No other inspector goes this extra mile for you.

Q: How Does the Lead-Based Paint Inspection Process Work?

When the inspector arrives, they’ll introduce themselves and confirm your inspection goals. They’ll ensure you get exactly what you need. The inspector will calibrate their XRF Analyzer (see picture), which performs non-destructive testing, taking only about 5 minutes. Then, they’ll start inspecting in a clockwise direction. They’ll take measurements inside, outside, and even in the garage, following strict protocols to test multiple areas in each room. Typically, 10 or more samples will be taken in each room. The results are available immediately. If lead paint is found, the inspector will check the soil and take dust wipe samples if necessary. Unlike others, we go the extra step to ensure a complete and thorough inspection. At the end of the inspection, the inspector will re calibrate the XRF for accurate readings, and then review the findings with you. They are legally required to share results with the client only, so please keep that in mind.

Q: How Is Payment Made?

Payment can be made via cash, credit card, or check at the end of the inspection.

Q: I Have Children and Am Buying a Home. How Important Is a Lead Inspection?

Lead poisoning remains the number one environmental health concern for children, according to the EPA. Ensuring your home is free of lead hazards is crucial for your family’s health.

Q: What Sets You Apart from Other Lead Inspectors?

We specialize in environmental indoor air quality and building health—not home inspectors or contractors offering lead inspections as an add-on service.
The equipment we use is state-of-the-art. Many inspectors use lower-quality XRFs, which may require destructive testing with paint chip samples. Our XRF provides accurate results without the need for any destructive testing. We also go further by checking for soil and dust lead hazards, giving you a more complete inspection.
